AN INDEPENDENT RECORD-LABEL FOR INDIVIDUAL MUSIC !mital-U 'the small global indie-label' was founded in 1996 by Bruno W with the target, to place a record-label for people who like individual and independent produced music!The real beginning of activities in music-production goes back to the year 1979, when Bruno W met the famous-notorious Lucerne-punks CRAZY. After regular contacts he produced Switzerland's first Punk-LP with them. Followed by the production of further records for CRAZY as well as for his 'own' band mittageisen. Years later (1991) the production of the CRAZY compilation-CD followed in 1994 by the mittageisen (v1) album 'alles ist anders ... nichts hat sich geändert' (everything is different ... nothing has changed). In the same year start of the world-wide-web activities under the name mital-U. 1996, after recognizing the potential of the internet as a independent distribution-channel, with the initiation of mittageisen v2 the record-label mital-U was founded. Unlike all major-labels and many small labels, profit maximisation is not our primary motivation. mital-U is financial independent and prefers to work with bands and distribution-partners, who are interested on a fair and professional cooperation! It's planned to release one production per year, whereby quality and not quantity count. |
